Thankful #30

Day 30: Today I am thankful that my family is healthy. We haven't had any major illnesses in such a long time. We have had the occasional cold but nothing really bad. For that I am thankful.

Thankful #28

Day 28: I am thankful for family and the fact that I did not have to cook Thanksgiving dinner. :) I am also thankful that we were able to get the Christmas presents that I wanted to get for the kids at a great price!

Thankful #27

Day 27: I am thankful that I took a chance and went to the ladies bible study at our new church. I am getting adult conversation that is face to face. What a joy that is. :)

Thankful #26

Day 26: I am thankful that we have some great tenants in our lovely little house in Spokane. The ladies that are living in our house are a blessing to us. Without them choosing to rent our house, we would be financially unable to survive.

Thankful #25

Day 25: Today I am thankful that I am currently able to stay at home. Out little girl was not feeling well when she woke up today. Due to this, I made the decision that she should stay home. If I were working, I may not have made the decision I had.

Thankful #24

Day 24: I am thankful that we have found a church that our kiddos enjoy. I am glad that we are finally connecting too. I do miss Life Center in Spokane but since we are not in Spokane anymore, I am thankful for City of Grace in Scottsdale.

Thankful #23

Day 23: I am thankful that I am a reader. I love books. I do not mind re-reading a book either. Being able to get lost in a book is wonderful. Especially on rainy days with a cup of hot cocoa and a blanket. It is like the perfect day.

Thankful #22

Day 22: I am thankful for lazy days. Being a mom of 2, you don't get many of those. I was able to have one of those today & I enjoyed it (while it lasted).

Thankful #21

Day 21: I am thankful for extreme torrential down pouring rain. When it rains it makes me think that God is washing everything away & we are starting new. What a wonderful reminder.

Thankful #20

Day 20: I am thankful for laughter. No matter who is laughing, it can be contagious and change your mood from bad to good.

Thankful #19

Day 19: I am thankful for my cat Mercy. When I am lonely, sad, over-whelmed, etc., I just take a moment and look at her or pet her and I begin to feel better. It is amazing how animals can make a person feel better.

Thankful #18

Day 18: I am thankful for our vehicles. I am able to do things on my schedule & not having to rely on others is a blessing. Because many times I want to do things at the spur of the moment. :-)

Thankful #17

Day #18: I am thankful for music. I love music. My mood tends to improve when I am able to listen to my iPod. I enjoy lots of different kinds of music as well. From country to opera, pop to rock & alternative. The only type of music I dislike is metal (sorry metal heads).

Thankful #16

Day 16: I am thankful my kids go to bed early most nights. This enables hubby & I to have kids free conversations.

Thankful #15

Day 15: it has been a really difficult day to try and find something to be thankful for. Dealing with insurance & trying to get the kiddos meds covered & filled has been hard since moving. But today I am thankful that my kiddos have insurance.

Thankful #14

Day 14: I am thankful for naps! Today was one of those days threat I got to enjoy a nap and it was heavenly & much needed. Naps are amazing!

Thankful #13

Day 13: today I am thankful doctors. Especially ones who have backed up everything you have been telling someone. Now they really have to listen because the doctor told them that they need to listen to what I have been telling them.

Thankful #12

Day 12: I am thankful for my own bed in my own room with my own bathroom. It has been wonderful not having to share a bathroom with the kiddos. It is also wonderful having our own room that is bigger than our old room.

Thankful #11

Day 11: I am thankful for all who have fought and continue to fight for our country. I am also thankful for those who are considering joining a branch of the Armed Forces. It is a total act of selflessness and I am thankful that they fought, continue to fight, and will fight for our freedoms. Those freedoms being what makes America the country that it is. It really is the land of the free because of the brave. So to those who fought, are fighting, and will fight....Thank you! For the families of those....thank you too! You have also sacrificed for our country.

It is November 1st and we all know what that means, it is now time to write what we are thankful for daily. Well here is mine... Day 1: I am thankful that I live in a country that allows me and gives me the freedoms that I have. Such freedoms include religion and the ability to worship who, what, when & where I want.

Failing

My thoughts from a couple of months ago. The only thing that has really changed is the fact that our kiddos were legally adopted in July. Oh...and we moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Here it is a couple of months into a new year and I have realized that I am failing. I am failing at so many things right now. It is difficult to realize and say because who wants to admit that they are failing. Not me! How are you failing you might ask....well let me tell you how and why I think I am failing. Reason 1: I am failing at this blog. My last post was over a year ago. I don't think that that is very successful. So I give myself a FAIL on this blog. Maybe I will start to get better, but as of right now I am not holding out hope. Reason 2: I am failing as a mother. I am a foster-adopt mom to two kiddos that we are in the process of adopting and it has been the hardest thing I have ever done. They both come with different behaviors and currently I am the "bad" guy and the kids so no
