Thankful #11

Day 11: I am thankful for all who have fought and continue to fight for our country. I am also thankful for those who are considering joining a branch of the Armed Forces. It is a total act of selflessness and I am thankful that they fought, continue to fight, and will fight for our freedoms. Those freedoms being what makes America the country that it is. It really is the land of the free because of the brave. So to those who fought, are fighting, and will fight....Thank you! For the families of those....thank you too! You have also sacrificed for our country.

Day 6:  I am thankful for an amazing family that I married into. My mother-in-law is wonderful. She has been in Germany for the last 3 weeks and got home today. I have missed her and I am looking forward to talking with her in the coming days.

Changes

I have decided that I need to make some changes in my life. Some of these changes include: Spend more quality time with my husband and be a better wife Spend more time with our family (in-laws, Emily & Jack) Take pride in my home & keep it clean Eat out less and make healthier meals Save more $$ Curb impulse spending. Ask- is it a need or a want? Less caffeine ...AKA: less Dutch Bros and soda More water Exercise more Find an activity that Will and I can enjoy together. These are just a few of the things that I am wanting to change . I figure it is never to late. Although, I am not going to jump in with both feet on the caffeine , I am going to wean myself. I don't want to get a caffeine headache. :)

Failing

My thoughts from a couple of months ago. The only thing that has really changed is the fact that our kiddos were legally adopted in July. Oh...and we moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Here it is a couple of months into a new year and I have realized that I am failing. I am failing at so many things right now. It is difficult to realize and say because who wants to admit that they are failing. Not me! How are you failing you might ask....well let me tell you how and why I think I am failing. Reason 1: I am failing at this blog. My last post was over a year ago. I don't think that that is very successful. So I give myself a FAIL on this blog. Maybe I will start to get better, but as of right now I am not holding out hope. Reason 2: I am failing as a mother. I am a foster-adopt mom to two kiddos that we are in the process of adopting and it has been the hardest thing I have ever done.
